SeqWeb

SeqWeb 2.1 版 內 容 更 新 部 分
Enhancements
Results Manager
SeqWeb Version 2.1 now allows you to rename their result files from within the Results Manager. This option is available through the Edit function, where you may specify the new name of the result file as well as a new description.
Sequence Selector
Two new buttons have been added to the Sequence Selector that appear in all analysis forms that accept multiple-sequences as input. These two buttons are Select All and Deselect All. They select and de-select all sequences in the list, respectively.
Project Management
A search utility has been added to the project management functions that are available through the Sequence Manager applet. This utility makes it easier for you to search for specific user names in the given user list.
WebLab Viewer
WebLab ViewerLite, from Accelrys, is distributed with SeqWeb. This viewer provides high-quality molecular visualization on the Windows and Macintosh platforms. Instructions for user installation of this desktop tool are available in Appendix D, "Add-on software for Molecular Visualization" of the SeqWeb Version 2.1 online help.
Bug Fixes
Prime
Problem: With HTML results from a Prime analysis, the Prime Viewer applet would not properly display the results.
Update: The Prime Viewer applet now correctly displays Prime analysis data.
Sequence Editor
Problem:When editing a sequence using Netscape on a Macintosh system (Java disabled), the sequence description line would get appended to the end of the sequence data section of the file.
Update: The non-Java version of the sequence editor for Macintosh systems now properly puts the description line at the beginning of the sequence file.
StringSearch
Problem: StringSearch analyses would take much longer to run to completion than expected.
Update: StringSearch analyses will now run in the same amount of time as running the same analyses from the command-line.
BLAST
Problem: BLAST results run with certain SeqStore subsets would show only the raw results, and not the expected alignments.
Update: BLAST results now properly show all hits and alignments for SeqStore subsets.
Problem: With some BLAST results, the BLAST Viewer applet would not display the alignment information for a hit sequence region.
Update: For all BLAST results, the BLAST Viewer applet now properly displays the alignment information for any hit sequence region.
Refine Button
Problem: In some cases, the Refine button would not load the analysis page associated with a result page with the parameters selected.
Update: The Refine button now loads the analysis page from any results page with the parameters selected.
Project Manager
Problem: The Modify option within the project management functions of the Sequence Editor applet would not allow a project administrator to modify the attributes of a project.
Update: The project administrator of any project may now properly modify the attributes of a project.
Reverse Complement
Problem: The reverse complement function available in the Sequence Editor worked on with upper-case sequence text.
Update: The reverse complement function in the Sequence Editor works for both upper- and lower-case sequence text.
